Maintaining a Koa Ukulele with Gloss Finish

What kind of care does a non-solid-body Koa ukulele require, in terms of humidifying and such? I live in an area where temperatures go as low as -40 F in the winter and as high as 105 F in the summer, so I want to make sure I'm not damaging my ukulele.

It is not a bad idea to humidify your ukulele in extremely dry times. The woods won't crack but the fret ends get sharp and necks can warp. Other than that just keep it away from extreme temperatures.
